About the Designer
Maribeth Sullivan has been practicing interior design in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs for over twenty years.
Her career began with the prestigious Chicago design firm Barrett-Freiwald Associates.
After graduating from the Harrington Institute of Design, she would continue a nine year collaboration with her dear friend and mentor Richard Freiwald, who formed his own firm Freiwald Associates after the death of his partner Robert Barrett.
Maribeth Sullivan Interiors (MSI) was formed in 1998.
Over the course of her twenty-two year career in design, Maribeth Sullivan has worked on a wide variety of residential and commercial projects that include luxury condominiums, vintage co-ops, single family residences in both the city and suburbs, corporate design for attorneys, doctors and private businesses, as well as vacation homes in Florida, Aspen, Vail, New Mexico and Michiana.
She works regularly with her clients and many of the top architects and builders on new construction and renovation projects to ensure a seamless integration of the architectural elements and interior design details that are crucial to each project.
Her design aesthetic is driven by her years of experience, historic and cultural knowledge and the love of color, form, texture and scale, which inform her decisions when sourcing the perfect textiles, furniture, art and antiques required for any given project.
